Population within 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours
How many people can reach a site in Val-d'Oise by car within 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours? No official body publishes this figure: it is calculated here from official sources, and the method is shown below the map.
Population within driving distance
| Starting point | 30 minutes | 1 hour | 2 hours |

How to read: number of residents, rounded; below each value, the range obtained when the travel time varies by 10%. A dash marks a value withheld because two calculation methods differ by more than 5%. The 30-minute values are orders of magnitude: they vary widely with traffic.
Starting points: the prefecture in Cergy; the town hall in Roissy-en-France (not the airport), Argenteuil and Gonesse; the geometric centre of the department (“Centre géométrique du Val-d'Oise”).

In short: calculated by implantation95.com (CEEVO) from official sources — drive-time areas from the IGN Géoplateforme isochrone service (theoretical travel times without congestion), INSEE 2023 legal populations distributed using INSEE's 200 m gridded data. Orders of magnitude; residents of France only.

Base map: IGN, served by this website. Outlines: drive-time areas calculated by the IGN Géoplateforme isochrone service.
Method and limits
- Method. For each point, a drive-time area is requested from the IGN Géoplateforme; every 200 m grid square whose centre lies inside it contributes its residents, adjusted to the 2023 legal population of its municipality.
- Limits. IGN travel times are theoretical: at peak hours in the Paris Region the area actually reachable is smaller. Residents of Belgium are not counted.
- Sources.
- Calculated on Oct. 2, 2026.
